Young Women's Camp on June 3rd and 4th

The Salazar family is going to be baptized today. Maria and her three sons, Alex, Andy and Adrian.

Brother Ken Rishel is in the hospital in Pratt having shoulder surgery. Please keep him in our prayers.

Brother Rex Davis in the hospital in Garden City. He is in ICU and could really use our prayers and thoughts.

Playgroup will be at Long park (corner of Spruce and Evans) at 10:00 to 12:00.

I'm still in need of pictures from you. Please email me a picture of your family asap. I have only gotten two....

Announcements

Next Sunday will be the 5th Sunday of the month so RS and Priesthood will be combined.

Playgroup will be held at Finney Park (outside of the zoo) at 11:00 on Wednesday. It will be a luncheon, so please bring a sack lunch.

Young Women are still looking for people to help them sew skirts and bonnets for the Trek. Please contact Michelle Steel if you would like to help.

Young Women still need items for the hygiene kits they are making. If you could donate, 4 toothbrushes, 1 tube of toothpaste, 2 bars of soap and 15"x22" hand towels.

I'm taking a different approach for the pictures. If you have an updated picture of your family, please email them to me at cheezmonk@hotmail.com as soon as possible. Please have them be updated, not 2 or 3 years old. If you don't have an updated picture, I will take one for you after church next Sunday.

Sister Heaton

Sister Kathy Heaton had surgery to get her gall bladder removed Wednesday morning. The surgery went great and she went home that evening. She is at home resting.

Brother Kester

Brother John Kester is in the hospital due to a kidney infection. He is in Pittsburg, KS, visiting his daughter, Barb. He has been in there for four days and continues to have a high fever. He doing well other than that. He does need your prayers. So please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Brother Kester has been released from the hospital.

Announcements

Keeri Johnson is graduating from high school this weekend!!! Yay for Keeri! To help celebrate this great accomplishment, she is having a graduation party on Saturday, May 21 at 12-2:00pm at the church. Lunch will be served. Please bring a side dish if you can. Her graduation is at 7:00pm on Saturday at GCHS

The young women are in need of some items for hygiene kits. If you could donate these items:

I am now in charge of bulletin boards and starting next week, I will be taking family pictures for it. Please stay after a little longer so I can take your picture and put it on the bulletin board. Thanks!

Hygiene Kits

The young women need our help in making some Hygiene Disaster kits. They are in need of people to donate some or all of the following items:

Bars of soap

Toothbrushes

Tooth paste

Hand Towels 15"x22"

If you can help, please bring the items to church this Sunday or the following Sunday. Thanks!

Sheri Dew Fireside

I just wanted to remind everyone that there is a fireside tonight at 6:00pm at the church. Sheri Dew will be speaking. Sheri Dew is an amazing woman, she was in the general Relief Society presidency and is the CEO and president of Deseret Books. You will not want to miss this!! Fireside is for all women over 12 and refreshments will be served afterwards. Hope to see you there!

Steven Cory Mills, son of Cory & Kimberly Mills, was baptized and confirmed by his father on May 7.

Saturday, May 14, at 6:00pm Sheri Dew will be coming to our stake for a fireside. Sunday dress and refreshments will be served. This is VERY exciting, she is an amazing woman and was in the general Relief Society presidency. You do not want to miss this! For all women, 12 and older.
